ABOUT US

Genesis House is a project of the Harrison County Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition. The coalition saw a great need for services for women suffering from substance use disorder in Harrison County and stepped up to the plate to bring about a solution. Genesis House is a 6-9 month program that allows women a safe place to live while they work at addressing the traumas, negative behaviors and beliefs that have led to substance use. While at Genesis House residents participate in evidence-based programming, therapy and basic LifeSkills that help to model a life where it is easier not to use.
